For those who are familiar with the New Zealand classic, veteran and vintage racing scene, you may be saddened to know that NZ racing is lesser for the loss of Doug (Digless) Johnson.

Doug, who had a long history of motorcycle racing in NZ and I believe a former NZ champion and a good mate of mine past away this morning.

Additionally Doug fought to maintain track and race issues for the benefit of all ~

He was known for his trait of pushing fellow riders to go that little better ~

Doug was diagnosed with a serious issues some months ago and the out look was not good ~

He fell to complications this morning and past away ~ aged 69 ~

Sadly BSA #219 has parked in the pits for the last time ~

I never met him, but if he encouraged others to improve things he must have been a good bloke.
Sorry to hear of his passing.
