Welcome to the world of sidecars. It is a great family. I am too far away (SA) to help much but I get on here occasionally and you can always email me if you have questions. Having said that I focus on P4 but if I had the spare dosh I would have a P5 as well. Living in Rocky you are going to do as much travelling as me to get to race meetings so be prepared for that. For all the specs check the MOMS as John suggested above. Some people like Doug Chivas are very useful for tips. And of course there is the Anandale Leichhardt club which are pretty much all sidecar people as another source of info.
Good Luck
Geoff

You can also join a club such as the Sidecar Racing Club of Vic, or Historic Motorcycle Racing Association of Victoria (not knowing what state you are in?) who have members that focus on sidecar racing, and would probably help.Cheers, Tony.

Go to the Motorcycling Australia web site and you can look at the MOMS.
