Patrick has just advised me that the resurfacing of Broadford has just been completed. Work to rebuild the verges will start almost imeadiately and be ready by next Tuesday when the line matker will be in operation.
Now we wait in eagerness fro 14 Nov. when the Interclub race is held.

Just home and a soft rain is now falling to wash away all the residue.
It was a huge task and a credit to all involved.
Barry Renyolds and John Coleman kept the project on track and it is a great result.
Up to 20 people were involved each day and over 200 truck loads of the black stuff was trucked up from Melbourne.
I did a couple of quick laps tonight and it is great.
Still a lot to do before the Interclub but we will make it if we can.
Regards

The rain beat us - with four times the November rainfall the verges or shoulders could not be prepared in time for the Interclub Series.
Linemarking and grid were able to be completed but the sodden ground would not allow machines to compact the verges for safe competition.
Local contractors are all set to help our small staff [2] to finish the work for the B&C Clubman Series this coming weekend. If you did'nt know we have seven other tracks we care for; four of which will be use this coming weekend.

keith turn to sidecars, on 28 November we are having a secret training day. We intend to grab solo riders and turn them into sidecar blokes without their mates knowing. We could sneak you along if you promose not to complain, maybe even get a ride or two. if you do come I promise not to tell George because he would never forgive me.

Trust you won't mind David but you do reach a lot of the M/C fraternity as we have found out!

Patrick,

Do not mind at all. That's what we are here for, to help promote Classic/Post Class & Historic motorcycle racing.

12 months on:
Happy to advise that the road-sealing from the Strath Creek Road entrance to the pit sheds at Broadford was completed today - soft rain now falling!!
Also have got a good 100m run off sealed at the end of the top straight. "Yes someone explored it today during practice"!
Cheers
Patrick
