Hi to all.
I am hoping desperately that someone can help me. I am in Adelaide SA and I work at SA Lotteries Commission. We are having an Awards Ceremony, at which we will be having a guest appearance from "Austin Powers". The Commission's PR department is looknig for a sidecar for hire, for the Austin character to ride across the stage. It would be ridden approximately 15metres, then that's it. It would be needed for the weekend of September 3 2005. I have tried so many places to hire one and noone seems to want to help me! Can anybody offer any suggestions? The Lotteries Commission will obviously pay a reasonable fee for the hire of the sidecar.

You could try Bruce Donald (ph 8293 2599) or Mike Brown (ph 8254 6885). They are president and secretary (respectively) of the Classic Owners Club of SA. This club has lots of sidecars and I reckon one of them would be for hire. This assumes that a classic sidecar fits your requirements.
Of course if you want something with a bit more impact I have a pre 1972 road racing sidecar which is available in September! I suspect you are looking for something a bit more road oriented but if you are interested drop me an email (geoffpgrant@iprimus.com.au)
Good luck Geoff |

Hi Geoff,
I just wanted to say thank you so much for your advice - it turned out to be most helpful, I spoke to the Motorcycle Club in SA and they are helping me out. So thank-you kindly, it's always wonderful when people help each other!
Kind regards,
Kirsty |
