Hi All,
Does the Southern Classic, or in fact any major meeting allow the use of single event licences? If not, where can these licences be used? I can't find much info on "club" race days.......... any pointers?
Cheers.

At this stage no National open meting can accept a 'One Event licence" Such licences can only be used at closed to club events.
Although there is a discusion about a Seniors One evnent licence for over 45 yo who have previously and recently held a full licence. Ben, a large portion of the licence fee is insurance and the next amount covers administration costs for MA and the state bodies. In my opinion, if you a serious about racing in Australia, you should consider a full licence, it helps to contribute to the promotion of our sport. |

Are there any 'closed to club' events in Vic for historics? I agree John, and I will end up getting a full licence, but it dosent seem to make much ($$) sense if I am only going to Victorian events. A good thing to see could be limited event licences available per state, covering only the main events (for Vic, maybe 4 "open" uses on your licence [valid nation wide] and unlimited Recreational activities), or as many events as you think it is likely you will attend (with a fair minimum to help ensure rider skill level and contribution). Just getting the juices flowing!

Because there are not enough Historic racers about we cant run a closed to club event. Since many Historic racers choose to stay in their old clubs we dont have enough in the HMRAV to close a meetiung. Mind you with a national ticket you can do any discipline , anywhere. |
