The entries for thsi years event have been huge.
We acttually have too many for the grid capacity of P4 and P5 solos and we have asked for more time to separate the machines if possible. Please bear with the committe if it becomes confusing on the day.

The Austin 7 club has taken steps to help us to aviod oil spills if they occur so please be gratefull. They will not run the older cars just prior to our events.
It is a start.

We have taken about 20 pit sheds so we should have a better quality of presentation and pit area to deal with.

I have heard people say the meeting is not a safe event, everybody is reminded racing is dangerous and it is up to them to decide whether to race or not.

Personally I do not believe that the event is unsafe.

But have a great fun and safe weekend.

Well done john
you have addressed some of the reasons many of us wont race at the Winton 4 plus 2 meeting
Now all we need is to sort out 125 grids
for the Southern Classic

What is the latest story with 125 grids.
We made big changes to the events at the Vic titles following representations to the commitee by some.
The changes caused issue with 8 others and then those that argued for the change did not turn up.
So the committee is thinking of going back to the previuos arrangement because less people will be unhappy.

I just wish you all raced sadecars and we would never have a dispute!

Al i think what John means is that they changed the races to suit a few 250 classics but then they did not enter for the vic champs,,,, so it looks like they will go back to the orginal format which is what we want HURRAY,,,,
Am i right or not,,,All 125s in with 250 classic pre war as before????Yes??

I dont have all the details on hand. But Toddy was complaining about the non appearance of peopel at the Vic Titles after he had convinced the HMRAV committee to make the changes.
It did involve 250 and 125.

Sad news the event ran well good racing but we had a sidecar rider have his brother fall very ill at the days end.
He had a heart attack and was not revived.
I dont want to say too much now, but I will give details about the situation in a few days, I am not aware of protocol at this moment.
