I spotted this on my Hot Rod site
" Normally I have regarded myself as a private person but would like to share this. Since alot of us are now regarded as old (that is over 50) I received in the mail the National Bowel cancer screening test in the mail. After many months of my wife nagging the crap (no pun intended) out of me I did the test & sent it away. 2 weeks later got a letter with Dear Sir your test was positive. To cut a long story short they found a growth in the bowel. I have just got out of hospital following the necessary surgery where they have removed the section & informed me it was a success but also pointed out that if I let it go for 3 to 6 months I would have been stuffed.
Point is - If you have not been checked do yourself, you family & friends a favour and get it done because I know I would not have thought about it as nothing appeared to be wrong. Richard"
