One of the difficulties with restoring old bikes is the problem of parts sourcing. Its interesting that there are heaps of bits for old british bikes, people importing parts etc, but I have found it very difficult sourcing frame parts for early hondatwins. You would think there would be heaps of early seventies hondas sitting in sheds etc. but endless searching has failed to come up with much. This alone makes it difficult to build old jap bikes as such as p4 era. Does anyone have a source of frame and engine bits that they would like to share. I am reluctant to wreck a good restorer for parts. John, if this is inappropriate then bump it to the proper place.

Hi Darren, have you tried these?
findapart.com.au
davidsilverspares.co.uk
cmsnl.com
I agree that sometimes it can be very hard to track down what you want and often hours of googling are required.
Don't give up, Percy Verance will usually succeed.
Cheers, John

Thanks guys, I am grateful for your input. I will be at Winton Historics in a couple of weeks and will hopefully have a chat to a few of the guys there. I plan to finish my bike by the end of the year and do some testing at Winton prior to having a run at Historic Winton in 2011. Thanks for the help.
