When P6 becomes a ratified historic class what will happen at the National Championships?
Will there be enough hours in a day to run the event?

With all the variety of historic classes, I still see races with less than 12 bikes in them. Most circuits are licenced for more than 40 at the one time. Smarter combination of classes is long overdue.

The problem with combining classes and or eras is that it demeans the status of one or more of the classes or eras in that the winner of the slower class may never be seen to be in the lead.
This is not a desirable situation either from the rider's point of view or from the spectator's point of view.
This effectively turns a race into a time trial.

John, Combining period 4 250s with period 5 250s gives a race which might have occurred in about 1973. Alcohol fuelled two strokes competed with water cooled TZ250s on petrol with slicks. (The same occured in the 350 and 500cc capacity classes in the early 70s). HMRAV have actually run such races at Broadford on occasion, and they were very inspiring to those of us who enjoy a nostalgia kick!
